How is it possible for it to hurt so much to lose someone you never had the chance to meet?

That's what I wondered when I lost my first pregnancy. I had known I was expecting for only a few weeks, but that didn’t matter -- I was devastated when it ended.

    And so I did what many of us do when we feel lost, alone or afraid, when things aren’t going as planned — I searched to the end of Google for explanations and answers. Little of what I found helped lessen my pain; nothing could ease the lump in my throat, the ache in my heart nor the pit in my stomach.

    Until one day when I found a research study that showed the success rate of pregnancies increases significantly (jumping from 30 to 80%) when the pregnant person received additional support during pregnancy after loss.

    This gave me hope. If additional support could help those who had experienced repeated unexplained loss, it seemed logical it might help me.

    Thus began my journey of healing. It wasn’t a linear path, but I learned a ton and as a result have narrowed down the most essential elements of healing after pregnancy loss into a digestible format I'd like to share with you.

Hi, I’m Sarah

My personal experience with pregnancy loss (including multiple miscarriages along the way to giving birth to my 2 daughters) was the impetus for KindNest, which has supported hundreds of individuals and couples with simple, natural resources for trying to conceive, healing, pregnancy and parenting, since opening in 2019. 

When I was where you are now, if I heard about something that “couldn’t hurt, might help,” I was open to trying it...and I did. I learned A TON about what works, and what may not be worth the time or effort. 

I transitioned my career in adult development from focusing on businesses to everyday people, becoming a Inner Alignment Coach, so I could formalize and enhance what I learned from first-hand experience. Gratefully, I'm now able to help others learn how to empower themselves to feel better using simple strategies and techniques in daily life.
