Every culture has ideas it mistakes for truth. I believe one of ours is resilience.

We’ve normalized adaptations that helped us survive and

mistaken them for personality, strength, success, and resilience.

We've confused resilience with endurance.

Celebrated self-sacrifice as strength.

Praised people for making it work while quietly disconnecting from themselves.

My work explores what happens when we redefine resilience—not as becoming harder to break, but as becoming more deeply rooted in who we are so we can live freely and share our unique perspective with the world.

The Conversation

What if the most meaningful change doesn't begin with better habits — it begins with better questions? Questions like...

What if burnout isn't the problem?

What if perfectionism isn't your personality?

What if resilience has been misunderstood?

What if many of the strengths we admire are actually worn out survival patterns that outlived the circumstances that created them?

Through essays, reflections, and research, I explore the hidden ways outdated patterns shape our lives—and what becomes possible when we begin living from conscious choice instead.

These aren't articles about becoming a new version of yourself.

They're invitations to remember the version of your that learned to hide in order to belong, achieve, succeed, or be loved — to give yourself permission to have what you want without having ot work so damn hard to earn it.

Were You Hopeful When You First Started Trying to Conceive?

Were You Hopeful When You First Started Trying to Conceive?

But then things took a turn when you weren’t pregnant by the month/season/holiday you had in mind?

I believe Emotional Unfinished Business (EUB) with the past is THE reason women struggle to conceive and have healthy pregnancies when and how they want to.

If this wasn’t the case, you wouldn’t be stressing about it. You’d trust your baby is on its way and be loving life in the meantime.

Were you hopeful when you first started trying but things took a turn when you weren’t pregnant within the timeframe you had in mind?

Emotional Unfinished Business is why you’re:

⚡️Stressing rather than trusting it’s going to happen (This is a product of your nervous system learning fight or flight as the norm, which can result from a messy childhood, a parent who wasn’t around or expected perfection, a partner who was abusive, etc…)

⚡️Disconnected from your inherent ability to create the life you want with ease (This is often a result of needing to put others needs/desires before your own)

⚡️Feeling stuck. No matter what you do it never seems to be enough (This is because there are old emotions stored in your body, ones that were not able to be processed at the time they were experienced (because for whatever reason it wasn’t safe/available for you to do so)

If this resonates with you, I’m here to show you the path to freedom! Join my Reconnecting with you Fertility group, or schedule a free Conception Strategy Session to get started today.

The Most Important Question to Ask if You're Stressing about Conceiving

The Most Important Question to Ask if You're Stressing about Conceiving

Do you remember before you started trying to conceive, what you thought it would be like? Maybe it happens pretty quickly — you just do the deed and next thing you know you’re hopping around the bathroom hugging your partner after revealing the positive test? For once, things just go according to plan.

Fast forward to now. Can you believe how the list of what it takes to have a baby has grown? So much doubt and fear creeps in…

  • Should I be changing my diet?

  • Is it OK to have a glass of wine or two at my friend’s bday dinner?

  • Should I be monitoring my cycle more closely?

  • Should I be doing more to know for certain when I am ovulating?

  • Should I be doing things to help boost implantation after I think I ovulated?

  • The list is endless.

The question

If you are amazed by how quickly you went from thinking you’d be pregnant by now to stressing about what may be wrong, ASK YOURSELF this question: Is this feeling new? Or does it feel familiar?

Does it remind you of how you’ve felt not only about getting pregnant but in other areas of your life, recently or when you were younger?

Does it feel like trying to have a baby is one more thing that isn’t working out, like you have to work extra hard when it seems to come easily for others, or like you have to put on a happy face when really you're ashamed/sad/furious inside?

If so, it makes perfect sense that having a baby has become daunting, even though there is no right or wrong way to go about it.

The Solution

The only thing that matters is what serves YOU, and TO KNOW WHAT THAT IS REQUIRES CONNECTION WITH YOURSELF – SOMETHING THAT WAS LIKELY SHUT DOWN ALONG THE WAY BECAUSE YOU LEARNED TO PUT OTHERS’ NEEDS FIRST

Being connected to yourself is the only way you’ll know what YOU need to have a baby. If changing your diet will feel good or like you’re restricting yourself… If having a drink will feel celebratory or like you’re messing up your chances this month… If you should be using OPKs or if the data will cause your mind to spin…

Next Steps

I can help you resolve the unfinished business from your past in just 8 weeks. When that occurs, having a baby will be the natural byproduct. Schedule a free chat to discuss your unique situation and possibilities.

Don’t wait, this is the most important thing you can do for yourself, both to have a baby but even more importantly, because you deserve to feel better and start living the life you want NOW.

Scrolling for implantation symptoms?

Scrolling for implantation symptoms?

Takeaways from my symptom-spotting experience

I had this “Memory” pop up on social media. It was a picture of my husband and me and some friends away for a weekend in Lake Placid, snowshoeing and X-country skiing. There are a couple of things that are difficult to tell from the genuine smile on my face in the photos:

  1. The temperature was literally -10 degrees, and

  2. I was about 8 weeks pregnant with my first daughter, after having experienced two pregnancy losses in the prior year.

This “Memory” really struck me. Choosing to spend the weekend outdoors in freezing temperatures is not for the faint of heart anyway...but when 8 weeks pregnant after 2 losses that occurred around that same gestational stage?

WTH, I thought? What could I possibly have been thinking??

And then I remembered:

I had decided I was going to take my life back. That I was going to do everything needed to help myself believe I was as capable as anyone else of growing and nurturing new life.

I had missed out on some fun outings with friends that prior year when we were TTC, for fear I’d miss my ovulation window or negatively impact a new pregnancy. It didn’t work, and worse, it didn’t feel good. I felt like TTC was ruling my life.

So instead, I gave myself permission to do what I felt. I didn’t stop tracking my cycle, but I only paid attention to it closely when it was around O time and then once I felt like I had done what I could to give myself the best shot that month, I let it go.

Otherwise, I decided to try out giving myself the best shot BY LIVING MY LIFE and seeking out what makes me feel content and happy.

And it worked. That’s how I knew it was okay to go snowshoeing and X-country skiing in frigid temps – I was connected with myself enough I could hear what served me.

And my first daughter was born 7 months after that super fun trip.

You can try it right this moment – what have you been putting off, limiting or not allowing yourself? What do you want to give yourself permission to grab hold of?

This is what we’ll be doing in my Conception Accelerator Group Coaching program starting April 10. If you want to learn how with my support, visit the Group Coaching page now.

Scrolling for early pregnancy symptoms to watch out for? Try this.

Scrolling for early pregnancy symptoms to watch out for?

Most women who are trying to conceive get caught in a perpetual loop of trying to fix what might be wrong. Trying to figure out why it hasn’t happened yet.

When you’re focused on fixing, you’re focused on something being wrong. Which might be helpful IF there is in fact something wrong. But otherwise it simply keeps you stuck in the energy of not having what you want.

Try this instead:

  1. Say to yourself “If there’s more I need to do/know about whether I’m pregnant or how to get pregnant asap, it will become apparent. I don’t need to try harder to fix things or know before my body is ready to tell me. I can trust myself to know.”

  2. Grab your journal or a piece of paper and write down 5 things you’re looking forward to about being a mom.

  3. For each, spend a moment identify the FEELING you’ll experience when that thing you’re looking forward to actually happens

  4. Notice where you feel that emotion in your body, what it feels like to experience what you’re looking forward to about motherhood.

  5. Soak in that feeling, and set the intention to return to it when you noice your mind start looping again (eventually it will get easier, I promise).

If your mind jumps in and says “DANGER! Don’t get your hopes up!”, lovingly thank it for trying to protect you from disappointment and see if you can allow the possibility.

Your future results depend on your current thoughts and feelings. By choosing to participate in the thoughts and feelings you’re going for, you connect yourself to those results.

If you try this, let me know in the comments how it goes. No judgment, just love and compassion. It takes practice, but you are worth it.
